What a notary public cannot do:
In Washington State, a Notary Public is forbidden to:

Assist persons in drafting legal records, give legal advice, or practice law

Act as an immigration consultant or an expert on immigration matters

Represent a person in a judicial or administrative proceeding relating to immigration to the United States, or any related matters

Provide court reporting services

Operate under the title "notario" or "notario publico"

What do I need to have ready?
After scheduling your appointment:

Your Notary Public from The Friendly Seal will email you an invoice ahead of your appointment. ​Please respond via email that you accept the charges. Washington State law requires charges to be agreed upon by both parties before notarial acts can be conducted.

Your Notary Public will collect payment during the appointment and will email you a receipt afterwards.

On the day of your appointment, please have prepared:

All documents needing notarization, to include a notarial certificate​​
